California’s regulated water utilities are on the job, working during the emergency to keep the water flowing. Here are a few stories from the front lines from California Water Service.
Amid one emergency, California Water Service crews are preparing for the next. You can find a video of the Cal Water Chico District team of Martha, Maddy and Brad demonstrating how they raise a hydrant, an important step in in providing firefighters with a reliable water source, so that they can focus on saving lives and protecting property.
California Water Service’s Kathy Hoffman was recently recognized for her efforts creating face masks for the South City (San Francisco) Police Department in partnership with the South San Francisco Women’s Club. A Customer Service Manager for Cal Water’s Bayshore District, Kathy was featured in the online publication, “Everything South City,” which noted, “There is another even less recognized and appreciated group of quiet heroes. These are the people who are forced to Shelter-In-Place but just can’t sit and do nothing while others are in need.”
