Quick summary
Conservation and eco-sustainability are important priorities for Golden State Water, which is why the utility has added NO-DES (Neutral Output-Discharge Elimination System) flushing units to its fleet.
Traditional hydrant flushing discharges hundreds of thousands of gallons of water onto the street and into the storm drains. Golden State Water’s NO-DES units allow crews to flush the distribution systems in a more efficient way.
“We’re looking forward to deploying this device across all 37 water systems in the state of California, to help us achieve those same results throughout our whole service area,” said Paul Rowley, Golden State Water Vice President of Water Operations.
