On November 19, 2015, incoming Speaker of the California Assembly Anthony Rendon joined California American Water Company, California Water Service and Golden State Water Company at the Southeast Rio Vista YMCA in Maywood, California to distribute 300 turkeys to local residents who otherwise would not have had a Thanksgiving meal.

Partnering with local and state elected officials and nonprofits, the three investor-owned public water utilities donated the turkeys to give back to the communities they serve while targeting hunger in California. Additionally, San Gabriel Valley Water Company, Fontana Water Company and Suburban Water Systems joined these three in distributing nearly 11,000 turkeys to deserving residents in approximately 80 communities throughout the state.

Following are photographs from some of the events that were held during the 10 days leading up to Thanksgiving Day.
