For the second year in a row, Liberty Utilities partnered with the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District Internship Program, which prepares high school students to become “future ready.” The program helps students decide on their majors, bolsters their college applications, and allows them to gain valuable on-the-job experience. This year, interns Angeles and Julisa seized the opportunity to explore various career options in the water industry at Liberty Utilities.

Over the course of six weeks, Angeles and Julia spent time with Liberty Utilities’ staff in six different departments. They visited jobsites, asked questions, and learned from professionals. The interns were introduced to a variety of job opportunities and developed college and career readiness as well as success skills, including critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and communication.
